Iron Route GPS

Terms of Service

Last updated: September 8, 2026  ·  Operator: TruckerProfit Inc. (Delaware).

The short version. Iron Route GPS is a navigation aid for commercial trucks. It is a tool, not a driver. You are responsible for your truck, your route, your hours of service, and for obeying every posted sign and restriction, even when the app says otherwise. Use it for legitimate trucking work, pay your subscription if you have one, and you can leave whenever you want. Disputes go to arbitration in New Jersey.

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using Iron Route GPS — the website at ironroutegps.com, the installable web app, or the iOS or Android app — you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. What the service is

Iron Route GPS provides commercial-truck navigation and related tools: truck-legal routing based on the vehicle profile you enter, turn-by-turn guidance, toll estimation, weather along the route, fuel and rest-stop information, hours-of-service timers, IFTA mileage tracking by jurisdiction, and offline map caching.

Some features are free and some require a paid subscription. The tiers, features and prices in effect are the ones displayed in the app or on this website at the moment you subscribe.

3. Safety — read this one

Do not operate the app while the vehicle is in motion. Set your route before you roll. Interacting with a screen while driving a commercial motor vehicle is dangerous and is prohibited by federal and state law.

The app is an aid, not an authority. Posted signs, bridge and tunnel restrictions, weight limits, seasonal closures, local ordinances, escort requirements, hazmat routing rules and the instructions of law enforcement always override anything Iron Route shows you. If the app routes you toward a restriction, obey the sign, not the app.

Truck-legal routing is best effort. It depends on the vehicle profile you enter and on third-party road data that can be incomplete, out of date, or wrong. We do not guarantee that any route is legal, passable, or safe for your vehicle. Verifying that is the driver's responsibility and, under 49 CFR, cannot be delegated to a piece of software.

Hours of service. The HOS timer is a convenience feature. It is not an electronic logging device, it is not FMCSA-certified as an ELD, and it does not satisfy any recordkeeping obligation under 49 CFR Part 395. Keep using your ELD.

GPS can fail. Signal drops, dead zones, tunnels, and cached maps that are out of date are normal conditions. Carry a backup means of navigation.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and hold, or be in the process of obtaining, a Commercial Driver's License, or otherwise be authorized to manage commercial freight operations in the United States or Canada. You are responsible for everything done under your account.

5. Accounts

Give accurate registration information and keep it current. Keep your credentials to yourself; sharing a login with someone who is not authorized is a breach of these Terms. Tell us promptly at support@truckerprofit.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

6. Subscriptions, renewals and cancellation

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

8. Your content

You keep ownership of your trips, vehicle profiles, saved routes and any documents you upload. You grant us only the limited licence needed to store, transmit and process that content in order to run the service for you. We do not claim ownership of it and we do not use it to train AI models.

9. Our content

The app, its interface, its name and logo, and the software behind it belong to TruckerProfit Inc. Your subscription is a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app — it is not a sale of the software. Map data belongs to its respective providers and to the OpenStreetMap contributors, and is used under their licences.

10. Third-party services

Iron Route relies on third-party providers for maps, routing, tolls, weather and payments, listed in the Privacy Policy. Their availability and accuracy are outside our control, and an outage or an error at one of them can degrade or interrupt the service.

11. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Specifically, and without limiting Section 3, Iron Route is not:

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TruckerProfit Inc. is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential damages, nor for lost profits, lost loads, fines, citations, towing, detention, cargo damage, or data loss arising from your use of the service. Our total cumulative liability for any claim is limited to the greater of (a) US$100 or (b) what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TruckerProfit Inc., its officers and employees, against any claim arising out of your use of the service in violation of these Terms or of applicable law.

14. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms, attempts fraud, or fails to pay. You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time — see Section 8 of the Privacy Policy. Sections 8 through 16 survive termination.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association in Newark, New Jersey. You and TruckerProfit Inc. each waive the right to a jury trial, and class actions are not permitted. Either party may still bring an individual claim in small-claims court. Nothing in this section prevents you from reporting a safety concern to any regulator.

16. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes are notified to active users by email at least 30 days before they take effect, and continuing to use the service after that date means you accept them.
